Smashing Pumpkins Return With New Single

Looks like the dream of the nineties is alive now more than ever today as alternative nation giants Smashing Pumpkins have announced their brand new Rick Rubin-produced album Shiny And Oh So Bright Vol 1, Lp No Past No Future No Sun. The new record features the band's almost original lineup, sans bass player D'arcy, and is touted to be a real return to form. The new single "Silvery Sometimes (Ghosts)" isn't as embarrassing as you may imagine. Steeped in the bands "1979" vein, the chiming and shimmering track is a bustling pop number that features Billy Corgan's most impassioned vocals since Melancholy And The Infinite Sadness. While we may not always be able to go home again, after various in fighting, line-up changes and professional wrestling detours, it looks like Smashing Pumpkins may be finally on that right path back.
