Dr. Martens | Spirit of 69

Dr. Martens' ‘The Spirit of ’69’ collection is a modern interpretation of a look and attitude that was started back in 1969 by first generation skinheads. By working with brands that were involved with this influential subculture from its earliest days, Dr. Martens celebrates the meticulous attention to detail of early skinheads, as well as their relationship with ska, rocksteady and reggae music.

Musician Mike Skinner has created a short film to celebrate the Spirit of 69: an energetic journey through the characters, music, style and sentiment of this influential multi-racial moment, inspired by the authentic individuals who lived it and still influence youth culture today.
