Bully's New Single,"Focused"

Bully’s Alicia Bognanno has this wonderful ability to be able to switch between a smooth drawl and an absolutely vicious scream at the drop of a hat. The new single, “Focused”, off of their Sub Pop debut last years visceral and heartbreaking Losing, showcases this in a real wonderful way.  The band has been keeping busy since the album dropped. They are about to kick off a world tour, with a Vancouver stop on February 26 at The Biltmore Cabaret, and to celebrate they have released the charmingly surreal video for “Focused”. Directed by Rozalina Burkova, the animated clip is a colorful blast, looking like a mash up of something out of the minds of Dr. Seuss and Shel Silverstein. It enhances the bittersweet nature of the track without over amplifying its themes of growing up and changing, allowing the song to sink in while the visuals keep you entertained.  If you haven’t picked up Losing yet you will have plenty of opportunities, as the band will be all over the globe and their live show is one you won’t want to miss.
