New Daniel Martin-directed Video by Frankie Cosmos

Frankie Cosmos have been on tour for what seems like forever now and as we get closer to the release of their new album and Sub Pop debut Vessel, which drops March 30th, they have been releasing some really fun new music. Today this takes the form of “Being Alive,” which has dropped with a stunning Daniel Martin directed video. The clip is a collage of live performance, stop motion animation and puppets. We see the band performing and relaxing together in real and puppet form before their puppet selves are abducted and continue to perform the song aboard a mysterious dog house UFO. It’s all pretty silly but does capture how much fun they seem to be having together on the road. When the group take turns singing the song’s refrain together at the climax of the track, “It matters quite a bit, even when you feel like shit, being alive”, it’s a nice, simple reminder that even in the darkest times your pals, and Frankie Cosmos, have your back.
