Video of the Day | Yuck: Stranger Things

Eleven years ago I dated a woman who had a seven-year-old daughter. For my birthday that year, a friend had given me a copy of the Arcade Fire record "Funeral," and as I was listening to it, attempting to understand the appeal of Win Butler's songwriting, that daughter walked into the room and stopped immediately. Looking like she had just walked into a cloud of dreadful smells, she asked me, "Why are you listening to the Barenaked Ladies?" It was that moment I figured that children would make the best music critics, so I walked into the ION office and pitched that idea as a regular feature. The editor at the time said, "Well, we're not going to do that, but you can write for us if you want." Half a year later I became an editor here and have been working with ION ever since.

Dreamy ION favourites Yuck have released a video today, promoting their new release, Stranger Things with a video of guitarist and singer Max having a listening party with two adorable young girls, mostly giving him praise but also demanding more volume from the songs.
