NXNE & Bloor Hot Docs Cinema presents Stop Making Sense

North by Northeast (NXNE) continues their partnership with Bloor Hot Docs Cinema with a special one-night-only presentation of Jonathan Demme’s 1984 classic concert film Stop Making Sense this Saturday at the Bloor Hot Docs Cinema.

Shot over three nights at Hollywood’s Pantages Theater, Stop Making Sense is a concert film capturing unforgettable performances by Talking Heads on their Speaking in Tongues tour. Still considered one of the best concert documentaries of the past 30 years, Stop Making Sense features a signature spectacle by Talking Heads and innovative filmmaking by director Jonathan Demme.

To celebrate the 30th Anniversary of the film, there will also be a pre-screening DJ set by Moe Berg from Pursuit of Happiness in the cinema. We suggest grabbing the 'Doc & Beer Combo' which includes a movie ticket, tallboy of Steam Whistle Pilsner and a large popcorn.

Stop Making Sense, Saturday January 25, 2014. Pre-screening DJ Set: 8pm, Screening: 9:30pm.
Tickets $11 ($8 Bloor Members) or $17 Doc & Beer Combo available online at bloorcinema.com or in person at Bloor Hot Docs Cinema Box Office, 506 Bloor Street West.
