ACTORS | Like U Want 2 [VIDEO]

Vancouver’s ACTORS are rising in stature almost weekly. With frontman Jason Corbett becoming a lead character in the city’s production scene, producing many of the acts in town, and his remixes of acts like Arts & Crafts’ Gold & Youth, what should not be lost in the hustle is the band that all of that work satellites around. Their new video for "Like U Want 2", produced and directed by Theo Kim at TGK Films (who created the side splittingly funny Letterkenny Problems), features a perverse concept championed by Corbett himself. "After brainstorming concepts for the video I stumbled upon the idea of the doll,” begins Jason. “The trick was to convey the tenderness and warmth between the immpossible lovers without taking it over the top. We had to cut the shower scene down to a PG-13 rating.”

Staring Letterkenny’s Nate Dales, it’s a warm but stark video that wants the viewer to watch on repeat. Nate Dales expresses his enjoyment in the video’s process, “It's always great working with Theo and Jay, and this project was especially fun because the video had a really interesting storyline. There was a lot I could do with the character, and it was a challenge to try and balance the creepiness of the whole concept with his tenderness towards the blowup doll.”
