Caribou | Our Love [ALBUM REVIEW]

You've finally made it to prom and it's better than you could've imagined in your wildest dreams. Sally Johnson (Sally freakin' Johnson!) is on your arm, your rented tux really fits quite well, that corsage you picked out wonderfully compliments Sally's (SALLY FREAKIN' JOHNSON!) dress and hell, even the punch is tasty. Speaking of punch, it's time to get a refill. But where's Sally? She was dancing with Tony, which is fine because they're just friends now and it's only one dance anyway. Though she has been gone for some time and the night is winding down. Where is she? Where's Tony? Wait, WHY IS MR. SNAITH'S DOOR CLOSED, IT'S NEVER CLOSED!? NOOOOOOOOO!! Well…at least you have Our Love's highly danceable tones to ferry you through these painful lovelorn memories forever. Just listen to "Can't Do Without You" or "Silver" on repeat and dance through that pain. Caribou is back to show you that you're not alone and that sadness can make a damn fine record. He's really good at it. So take it in, suck it up, and act like you've been there before.
