The Darcys | WARRING STATEMENT MIX [EXCLUSIVE]

With their current album, Warring, out now, The Darcys release 'Warring Statement Mix' and Wes Marskell from the band tells us a bit about it:

"I think of Warring as a place. It's an atmosphere—a world of its own. We created this mix as an extension of that idea, a window into that world. These are the songs that influenced our writing and informed our ideas. Some of it’s obvious, some of it not so much. Each song has it's own unique voice and is perfect in its own right. But we couldn't help ourselves. We had to fuck with them. We had to overlap, edit and rebuild them. We wanted to create new songs and different moments, and we extended that to our own works by infusing this mix with elements of Warring. This mix is an expression of our attempt at expression. It’s a prologue to the record, even following its release."
